A Facial Specialist is someone who cleanses and exfoliate, wax and laser, moisturize and apply makeup to enhance a person’s overall appearance. A facial specialist will first assess the condition of his or her clients’ skin and make recommendations on what can be done to improve their skin quality.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
This program is designed in accordance with the regulations and requirements of the State of Florida to obtain the license entitled “Facial Specialist or Esthetician Technician”. The objective of this program is to provide training for individuals interested in employment as a facial specialist or esthetician in finer salon and spas.
They may choose to be manager, skin consultant or technician. They may also choose to own a skin salon or spa. After completing the necessary clock hours and services, the student will receive a Diploma stating that they have satisfactorily completed the course and will be registered with the State as an Esthetician Technician or Facial Specialist.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
In this program the student will learn to define the composition, function, types of skin, the difference between skin disorders and skin disease, and the steps to follow during a facial treatment, including massage, Makeup application and hair removal. Upon successful completion of the program hours, services and final exam, the student will receive a Diploma of completion and will be registered with the State for licensing. This program offers all theory/exam hours on-line. Clinical practicum must be completed on campus hours.
